The Great Big Home and Garden Show is always an exciting event for Green Impressions. This year’s event was no exception, with plenty of opportunities to discuss landscape projects with attendees and offer useful tips to bring their home and garden dreams to life.

Adding to the excitement of the 2018 Great Big Home and Garden Show was a special award we received. After weeks of design preparation and several days of setup, our indoor display at the Garden Showcase—one of 12 exhibits—was selected as the first place winner.

The indoor display was centered around the theme of “America” by Neil Diamond, playing off the architecture of the early 1800s. With the goal of bringing back urban renewal, the design featured an array of recycled products including old bridge stones, old well pumps and garden sculptures made from recycled materials.

At the event, I had the chance to speak about the Garden Showcase display in more detail. As noted, we really tried to dress our garden up and theme it with some of the old architectural pieces. We wanted some conversation pieces that people could relate to.
