Show Highlights

It seems there's just not enough time to see and do everything you want while you're at the Great Big Home and Garden Show, but make sure you plan your schedule so you can catch some of these highlights:

• Main Stage and Cooking Stage. Please see the celebrity stage schedule for appearance dates and times.  Also, home improvement specialist, Matt Fox, from HGTV's hit show Room by Room and now public TV's Around the House with Matt and Shari will be our MC all week!
  
  The Loretta Paganini School of Cooking will again be joining The Great Big Home & Garden Show by hosting a variety of local culinary experts with themed demonstrations taking place daily.  See our Stage schedule for details! 

• Gardening Stage. The Pettiti Gardening Stage will host daily seminars about gardening in Northeast Ohio. Get your questions answered by local experts.

• Celebrity Designer Rooms. Each of the six rooms is designed by the partnership of a local celebrity and an interior design business or exhibitor.

AHMED HASSAN

Celebrity Landscaper and TV Host
Appearing on the Main Stage Saturday, February 8th and Sunday, February 9th. 

Ahmed’s love of landscaping paved the way to a successful career as one of today's most sought after celebrity landscapers and green experts. Since 2008, he and his team have surprised families with customized residential landscapes and upgraded homes on DIY Network’s “Yard Crashers.” Following a series of hosting stints for numerous DIY Network television shows including “The Dirt On…,” “Green Me Up,” and “Blog Cabin,” the network created the series to showcase Ahmed’s high energy, motivational spirit and love for everything green. In September 2011, The Nate Berkus Show unveiled Ahmed’s work as lead design consultant for Monica “Warrior Mom” Jorge’s house. Earlier this year, he co-hosted HGTV’s live coverage of the 2011 Tournament of Roses Parade. He has served as guest contributor for the CBS Early Show and NBC’s Today Show. He is a guest columnist for several publications including the new HGTV magazine.

FRANK FRITZ

Appearing on the Main Stage Saturday, February 15th.  

Frank Fritz started picking early; collecting rocks and beer cans near the train tracks as a kid. As his collection of “staples” multiplied and his knowledge of antiques vastly grew, Frank learned the art of negotiating! Frank found that his keen eye and attention to detail led him discover much more than junk, Frank was finding real treasures amongst trash! It was this revelation that allowed him to turn a hobby into his career. These days, Frank Fritz and his partner Mike Wolfe spend most of their time digging in
barns, garages and junkyards across America on HISTORY Channel’s hit show, “American
Pickers.”

EMILY ELLYN

Emily Ellyn is the Home Economics teacher you always wanted! She takes the retro, remixes it and makes it rad. She encourages everyone to dig through their mom's recipe boxes, dust off their pressure cookers and crock pots, and take the old and make it new through retro recipe re-dos! Emily currently divides her time between finishing her Ph.D. in Food Service Education, traveling the world doing cooking demos, lecturing or hosting special events, doing consulting work, and developing her Retro Rad culinary TV career. You’ve seen her on Food Network’s “Next Food Network Star,” “Cupcake Wars” and morning news shows across the country - as well as a cameo appearance on the “Simpsons!”

IDEA HOME
This spectacularly awesome ranch style home known as “The Sophia” is a masterpiece that bridges the gap between traditional and contemporary styles.
